You get to be those things when you are doing them.
We are fleeting.
No matter your track record, you will always be transient.
You can choose what you want to be in every moment. Say something mean. You’re mean.
Say something kind. You’re kind.
You get to choose what you want to be in a moment.
And then it’s gone. Then you are, yet again, an open opportunity to be anything you want to be in that moment.
So many people don’t do what they want to do because they don’t believe they have it in them to be what they want to be.
But it’s so simple. Just do it. Do the thing, even if there are no witnesses. Then keep doing the thing. And then do it some more.
Until it is second nature to you.
What makes a dancer?
A person that dances.
What makes an artist?
A person that does art.
Someone who writes.
Have your future desires & dreams in mind, but they aren’t necessary to be what you want to be today.
Want to be a financial advisor? Go research some finances and give advice to someone.
You don’t have to be good at it to do whatever the fuck you want to do in this life.
Perfectionism is a great excuse to never pursue what you want.
Waiting until the perfect time, until you have the perfect amount of training, the perfect amount of money, the perfect amount of whatever the fuck. It’s all an excuse.
The sweet and simple truth is- to get good at the thing you want to do, you just have to do it.
