Whether itโ€™s roommates, loved ones, or your cat. Living in close quarters can be very confronting.

๐—ฆ๐—จ๐—ฅ๐—ฉ๐—œ๐—ฉ๐—”๐—Ÿ ๐—›๐—”๐—–๐—ž #๐Ÿญ

1. Give each other a damn break.

Normally, I'm all for leaning into conflict. But during weird times like these, there is a time and place to talk about things.

When you are trapped in your home. Nowhere to hide. With a global quarantine happening.

๐—ž๐—ก๐—ข๐—ช ๐—›๐—ข๐—ช ๐—ง๐—ข ๐—ฃ๐—œ๐—–๐—ž ๐—ฌ๐—ข๐—จ๐—ฅ ๐—™๐—œ๐—š๐—›๐—ง๐—ฆ.

Itโ€™s just the beginning for now.

When you feel yourself get triggered, annoyed, frustrated or angry...

Go into another room...

Take some deep breaths...

And ask yourself- is this frustration worth your precious energy resource at this moment?

If you're in a confined space with multiple people... all your energy resources are combined.

Is whatever frustration is happening WORTH the energy lost?!

Or can you bookmark the frustration and choose to bring it up when leaving our house is a thing again.

This wonโ€™t be forever.

You're not enabling bad behavior by letting some things slide for now.

You're just adapting to an impossible situation.

Choose to laugh things off.

To beat up a pillow instead of engaging in a well-practiced argument.

To remove yourself from the room when things get tense.

Learning to ๐—ฃ๐—œ๐—–๐—ž ๐—ฌ๐—ข๐—จ๐—ฅ ๐—•๐—”๐—ง๐—ง๐—Ÿ๐—˜๐—ฆ preserves your love and energy like weโ€™re preserving toilet paper- something very needed and when weโ€™re out of it can be VERY messy.

Patience and Energy = to toilet Paper.

We're all figuring this out together.

Take this time to practice (or learn) self-soothing.

Be really conscious of your impact on the people around you.

We're all trapped at home for now. Possibly for 3 weeks.

An immense new-world experiment we've never seen on a semi-global scale.

Consider a strategy. Consider putting a goal or intention of how you will handle day 15 of this and onward...

The people around you, whether in person or virtually, are your experience of life for now.

How do you want to experience life today?

Choose how you want to experience it.

Choose how you want to impact people.

Choose newly every day. And practice that.

You'll F-up. We all do. Clean it up and try again.
