We can grow our tolerance
We can weaken it
It can apply to dealing with hardship, to holding sensation, to losing things, alcohol, people, to being around children, to sweetness, to sourness, to rage, to pleasure... the list is endless
This word for some reason gives me strength
When I feel a pang of the unpleasant, when someone doesn't respond, when things don't go my way.
I remember that this moment can grow my tolerance for this sensation in my body.
I can breath it, I can expand it in my body, I can focus on the physicality - and suddenly it becomes fascinating.
