𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗧𝗢 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗗. poetry.
I take a deep breath.

Of it all.
The life I knew is over.
The one where I was small.
The one where I covered my body to cater to other
Played the mother,
Crunched my bones into lace for my lovers.
The one where I hid success
Where I hid I was a mess.
The one where my sexual pleasure
Was measured
By what others could give.
Dependent on externals to show me to live.
This world is so much bigger than what I able to see
Devoured, liberated by the concept of infinity.
Meaningless yet dire
My return to wild, inspired
Graceful weaving of desire
Into what’s daily, required.
Hunger for the animal in me.
To tear out of my skin like fire on silk
My mother’s milk
Pulsing through my veins
Ancestry retrained
From a history of being tamed.
