WHY PEOPLE STAY

IN IMPOSSIBLE RELATOINSHIPS:

1. Constantly surviving or getting over hardship gives us access/ evidence of our power, strength, resiliency, humanity, our aliveness, & our mortality

2. the contrast between chaos & meltdowns to recovery & ease can feel epic (inconsistent rewards are like crack to the brain)

3. The beliefs being reinforced over & over are:

'There is nothing I couldn't do / survive',

'There's no one I couldn't love',

'There's nothing I can't handle'.
